Things you’d write home to your Momma about: “I’m a freakin’ rock star!” is something I would only say to my mother, because I am a firm believer in humbleness in this industry. That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy my industry awards and being listed as top 3 in the nation, published multiple times, rave online reviews…it’s just, at the end of the day, I’m grateful someone chose ME to help with their special event. It’s an honor in an industry where it’s competitive and there are a million options.

How I got into weddings: I started event planning for a large non-profit company in Nashville in the 90’s. I quickly realized that I had a talent that could be not only lucrative but rewarding. I could also sense that if I was going to work sixty hours a week, I should at least be my own boss!
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? The charm of the guests! The Southern guest always thanks my team for a wonderful evening, which is so rewarding.
Favorite part of a wedding day? The last “checks” of the day/evening are a butterfly flurry in my stomach! I love the moment when everything is placed and the lighting has been checked and the music is set — when the celebration is upon us.
Dream travel destination? Southern France
Favorite Southern city? Hello?? Nashville!
Early bird or night owl? Neither? Can that be an answer? (I suppose I’m a night owl, because rolling out of bed is sometimes excruciating.)
Pie bar or red velvet cake? Red velvet CAKE!!
